Hi,
In my /etc/smard.conf I have:
DEVICESCAN -d removable -m ***@localhost
and it works fine, sending emails at 23:35 each evening.
However I wonder:
1. What would happen if the computer is turned off at that time? Will
smartd send an email immediately when it the PC is turned on next morning?
Or will it wait for 23:35 next evening (when the machine can be off again)?
2. What would be the way to control at what time the email notifications
are sent? Running 'crontab -l' shows no crontab for root which means smartd
is not controlled by a cron job. How does this work?
3. Is it possible to get notifications immediately when a failure occurs?
